And He said unto me, "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

URGENT Prayers

I'm hoping to have more updates to come in the very near future (with pictures)!!

We are crying out to all of our prayer warriors tonight because we are in desparate need of prayer.  P has not slept more than five hours per day (24hrs) total in the last few days (babies at this age should be sleeping 16+ hours/day).  The doctor had us come in today because she was very concerned about it.  She gave us a few things to change and we have changed all of them.

It is 9:30p and we've been trying to get her to sleep since 6:30p.  She is screaming at the top of her lungs and has only stopped to eat for about ten minutes.  We are both exhausted.  Seizures have increased for me (not to mention crazy hormones) and B is working so hard all day and then coming home and staying up most of the night with her, as well.

Please pray that she will get to sleep!!

  1. Sending my prayers out to you. I am exhausted myself right now and hoping for a good night's sleep, so I can relate very well. Love to you both, I hope things get easier soon! Lavender lotion and essential oil always helps me to fall asleep, maybe it will help P (I know Johnson & Johnson makes it.)

  3. Praying for you Meredith and family! Wish I was closer! I remember 19 years with my little twins....the lack of sleep. Not having sleep is hard...and with seizures it is a must.
Have you tried probodics with the baby? Just a thought?
    Take care,

  4. Hi Meredith, once I stopped fighting with my baby daughter and let her play instead of trying to force her to sleep, we both were a lot happier. She also did not sleep much, and demanded food every two hours, so I had no sleep either. :-(
She is now 13 years old and an A student and good sportswoman. She still survives on the minimum of sleep. Love, Natalie (from MAD)

  5. Are you sure your baby is not colicky?

  6. Just saw this (a day late). Praying the Lord will reveal the source of P's insomnia and that it is easily "fixable". Also praying for rest and peace for you and B. If there's anything I can do to help, please don't hesitate to let me know. Hang in their precious lady! Hugs!
